The Good Upholstress Designs

I was eight when my mother bought a Holly Hobby toy sewing machine for me and she taught me how to make my first patchwork pillow. Through the years, our projects together advanced, and I graduated to using her sewing machine unsupervised. In high school, I made my own prom gown out of scrap materials that I begged my mom to let me have. ( I was Andie from Pretty in Pink except in shimmering aqua blue!) Three decades later, life repeated itself,  when I sewed my own wedding gown - a pale blue sheath with white guipuire lace overlay and a bustled blue bow repurposed from a thrift store gown.
